Pakistan's wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal and former captain Shoaib Malik are hopeful that they will make a comeback to the national side soon.
Both players have been on the sidelines and are unlikely get new central contracts from the Pakistan Cricket Board, The Daily Times reports.
While Akmal was dropped because of his form with the bat as well as behind the wicket, former captain Malik has been sidelined after failing to satisfy the integrity committee of the board over issues relating to funds in his accounts
"I know my keeping has been a disappointment for many people. I will be holding sessions with former greats like Wasim Bari, Saleem Yousuf, Moin Khan and Rashid Latif to work out my problems," Akmal was quoted, as saying.
"They can help me out I am sure. I am not shy of approaching anyone to sort out issues with my game. They are experienced and can advise me well," he added.
Former skipper Malik who has been out of the game for over a year, is currently training at Pakistan's National Cricket Academy.
"It is disappointing not to be part of the national team since last year. It does hurt because Pakistan cricket has given me a lot and it is a matter of pride for me to play for my country" Malik said. (ANI)
