Entry test for admissions in B. Sc cancelled after leaking out of paper

University of Engineering and Technology (UET) entry test has been annulled, while the date for the new entry test will be announced later, meanwhile the VC UET set up a committee for the investigation of leak out of the paper.

According to the university spokesperson the date for holding the new test will be announced very soon and strict action would be taken against responsible of paper leak out according to the recommendation of investigative committee.
After the news appearing on media regarding the paper leak out the university administration took serious notice and called for an emergency meeting after which the entry test has been cancelled.
Entry tests were held in Lahore, Multan and Taxila under the auspicious of UET. Ten examination centers were set up in different cities including Lahore and 41,000 candidates for 4,000 seats had appeared in the test. In Lahore alone 15,000 candidates (male and female) had appeared in the test at UET.
The candidates blamed that the entry test paper had already leaked out.
According to the students the leak our paper of entry was sold in worth of million of rupees, adding that all the questions, which were in the entry test were in the leaked paper. The students put 16 to 18 complaints regarding the paper.
On the other hand, University Vice Chancellor, Lt Gen (retd) Muhammad Akram said that if a single candidate put blame on the paper then we also had taken action against his blame.
Spokesmen of UET Rana Tanveer Qasim while talking to a private TV channel said that the new date of test will be announced very soon.
The meeting with the VC Muhammad Akram in the chair overview the issue and saw that some of the questions of entry test paper were same as the paper which was leaked out and the committee annuls the entry test held earlier and a new date would be announced very soon
He said that an investigative committee has been set up whose meeting would be held today (Monday) to set rules and regulations for the working of the committee.
He said that UET is conducting the entry test from last 14 years but this is the first incident of leaking out of paper, adding that facts would be revealed after investigation and the responsible would be pointed out and strict action would be take against them. SANA
