Karachi: 6 more shot dead in fresh spate of violence

KARACHI: Situation remained tense in various parts of the Metro including Malir and Khokhrapar on Sunday as at least six persons have been killed in a fresh wave of violence during last 12 hours.

According to police sources, unknown armed gunmen opened fire on motorcyclist and killed Raheel, Selah ud Din and Awais Rao in an area of Buffer Zone, Shadman No. 2. While after the incident the criminals succeeded to flee from the crime scene.
Badar Afzaal, who got severe injuries on Friday in a discriminate firing by unknown gunmen, however, on Sunday he too succumbed to injuries in Jinnah Hospital.
In Qaidabad area located in the jurisdiction of Shah Abdul Latif Town Police Station, anonymous armed persons killed a newspaper vendor. He was taken to Civil hospital for autopsy.
A 30-years old Zeeshan was gunned down in Saeeda Abad near Muach Mor by some unidentified armed persons. Police shifted the dead body to Civil Hospital for postmortem. Police sources told that the investigation of the incident is in progress from the people, who were present on the crime scene.
