Shahbaz Sharif writes letter to PM Gilani for transfer of ministries in time

Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif written a letter to Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani about the in time transfer of ministries from federal government to provinces after the passage of 18th amendment of the constitution and showed concerns over the non transfer of ministries.

According to a private TV channel, CM stated in the letter written to PM that process of transfer of ministries should be completed before June 30th, which is looking difficult due to federal government lack of interest.
CM further stated that Prime Minister should take notice of hurdles, which federal government is creating in the transfer of ministries and urged PM to make possible immediate transfer of ministries.
It is relevant to mention here that 10 ministries were transferred to provinces in the two phases and in final stage five ministries Environment, Sports, Minorities Affairs, Health, Labor and Manpower and Food and Agriculture would be transferred to provinces till the 30th of this month.
Shahbaz Sharif stated that non-transfer of ministries before June 30th can create legal deficiencies and requested to the PM to take special notice of the matter.
In response to the letter by Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani in reply to the CM said that the process of devolution as envisaged in the 18th Constitutional Amendment is in the last phase of completion.
The two phases are already implemented while the third and final phase will be completed before the30th of this month as required under the Amendment and for the purpose the Special Cabinet meeting has been called on today (Tuesday).
Regarding the few issues raised by the Chief Minister Punjab, the Prime Minister said that they would be resolved with consensus of the Provinces at an appropriate forum.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chief Minister Punjab suggested Prime Minister to call the meeting of Council of Common Interests and Prime Minister indicated the calling of meeting of Council of Common Interests through letter. SANA
