PML-N hails MQM decision to quit, federal, provincial governments

Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) Information Secretary Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal has welcomed the decision of MQM for announcing parting ways with PPP in federal and Sindh governments.

Commenting on the decision of MQM to part ways with federal and Sindh governments and resignation of Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, said that in the result of MQM decision the opposition would be strengthened, adding that PPP government has failed to solve the problems of the county and mid-term elections should be held in the country for taking fresh mandate of the masses.
Talking to a private TV channel, Ahsan Iqbal said that the government is not sincere with its allied parties and is deceiving them.
He said that the PML-N had understood the thinking of PPP and had parted ways with the PPP after six weeks, adding that after the decision of MQM to sit in the opposition the strength of the opposition has been increased.
He said that the PML-N is ready to work with all political parties to bring out the country out the crises, including unemployment, soaring prices and load shedding.
Replying a question, Ahsan said that if PML-N had boycotted the AJK polls than PPP and Muslim Conference had bagged two-thirds majority and could change the constitution of AJK according to their will but know PML-N has win sizeable seats in the assembly.
Replying another question, he said that the judiciary in Pakistan has become independent after a long struggle, adding that AJK has its own Supreme Court and High Court and weather these courts are independent or not it is premature to say something about the matter.
He said that the matter of AJK elections is under the jurisdiction of SC and HC of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir, adding that the government has broken all the records of rigging by changing the voter lists in AJK polls.
He said that due to the policies of the government no allied party is in a position to defend the policies of the government in front of masses. SANA
