Islamabad: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah
has said that MQM had parted ways with the government six times earlier
but PPP always pacified them and this time they would also be brought
back in alliance.
This he said during a press conference here
on Monday. He said that Altaf Hussain has bitter experiences of the
tyranny and he knows that democracy is far better than dictatorship. We
spent our whole life in pleasing the friends and now we will succeed to
reassure MQM once again. We do not even speak a word against Nawaz
Sharif as we do not want to offend anybody ”, he added.
Shah
informed the journalists that PPP already had fear that MQM will apart
from the government. He said that when the opposition will be strong,
the government will strengthen ultimately. PPP is acting upon the
vision of Benazir regarding reconcillation and it never left its any
allied partner.
The elections in Karachi were postponed on the
reason that returning officer refused to hold elections due to threats.
Federal government has nothing to do with the deferral of the
elections.
Federal Minister said that PML(N) carried out
rigging at large scale in Lahore where they filled ballot boxes at 8
am, early in the morning.
Responding a question he said that
Faisal Raza Abdi can not become governor constitutionally as he is less
than 45 years of age. He said that if the ministries of Q-League’s
ministers would be transferred to the provinces , then they will be
given new portfolios.
Replying a question on Hajj preparations
, Minister of Religious Affairs said that so far residence for some
68,000 Hajis have been acquired in Saudi Arabia , whereas the
government will get the dwelling space for all 90,000 Hajis by 15 July
,which will perform Hajj under Regular Hajj Scheme.
He said
that the Hajjis belong to same Tehsil, would be accommodated in one
plane , whereas they would also be kept in same premises in Saudi
Arabia .
He said that PIA also obtained separate terminal at
Jeddah Airport for Hajj operation, due to which the Hajiis would not
have to wait long for their flight departure.
“Lahore High
Court has issued stay order on Hajj Policy 2011 , but government can
not stop the arrangements as by the passage of time, the number of
Hajjis are increasing. We will contact Supreme Court against LHC
verdict and if SC will sustain the decision , then government would not
be responsible for making Hajj arrangements”, Federal Minister added. Online
