Rs.350 million payment scandal on PM orders takes new turn

The scandal of illegal payment of 350 million rupees on the orders of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to various advertising agencies has taken another dimension.
Ministry of Information and Broadcasting documents have revealed that including three institutions of Pakistan Army 23 ministries, departments and corporations have informed the government that they have paid the 14 million rupees of remittances. While it is astonishing to note that all the bogus bills of double payments were submitted by Midas Advertising Agency, Lahore.
It has been learnt that the PM Secretariat and Ministry of Finance officials played a key role in ordering the PM to pay the costly amount of 350 million rupees to the advertising agencies. While according to the above mentioned document it has been labeled as an attempt to reimburse the bills of PM Secretariat worth of 6, 53992 rupees and of Ministry of Finance worth of 2, 85769 rupees.
Pak Army subordinate bodies including National Logistic Cell (NLC) Headquarters, Controller Military Pensions, General Head Quarters, Land Disposal Cell and Soil Survey of Pakistan had also told the Ministry of Finance in writing that they have paid their due remittances.
Challenging the reimbursement of 10.4 million rupees following institutions have informed the federal government about all their details with their check numbers.
