Another day of firing, violence: 40 dead in Karachi

KARACHI: The final toll arising out of volatile riots erupting due to Inter-political internecine, vendettas and disputes among various political parties has so far reached to 40.
Details received from various sources indicate that incidents of target killings and discoveries of sacked deadbodies continued unabated on Thursday, whence five more sacked deadbodies, bearing marks of pre-murder torture were found; four of which remain unidentified.
Unknown pillion riders in Maleer killed one while another murder of one 17- year old Zahir Shah s/o Gul Din was also murdered near student café.
Meanwhile intense firing between Rambo center and Lines area continued unabated till late night, taking advantage of which unknown miscreants forced their way into fire brigade station and ransacked it. During this riotous act two firemen Muhammad Hussain and Ali Manzoor were severely injured.
