MQM announces to boycott AJK polls against undemocratic tactics of PPP

KARACHI: MQM has announced to boycott AJK polls saying that postponing elections is a naked dictatorship.

This was said by MQM convener Farooq Sattar during his briefing to media men after party coordination committee meeting here Saturday.
He alleged PPP had pressurized MQM for withdrawal of its candidate from one seat but “we will not withdraw despite pressure”.
He charged PPP was using undemocratic tactics against MQM. Sindh government got a fake report prepared from IG Sindh about security concerns. On the other hand chief minister Sindh had already announced law and order situation was improving in the province, he added.
Government had planned to rig polls, he said adding rulers had stabbed in our back. People of Kashmir are being deprived of exercising their right to vote, he blamed.
PPP had put at stake reconciliation process for the sake of one seat, he charged. MQM would be at liberty to take other decisions if dictatorial mindset would continue, he warned.
“MQM boycotts AJK legislative assembly polls. Conspiracies are underway against MQM. We will adopt this way of recording protest”, he announced. Online
