ISLAMABAD: Taking notice of the high power crises, President Asif Ali Zardari Sunday summoned the chiefs of power companies and concerned authorities.
They were summoned in Islamabad to meet on Monday with the president of Pakistan to revamp the ongoing energy situation in the country.
Power crisis in the country broken all past records, as the Pepco and PSO tiff relating to the furnace oil supply remained unresolved and the power shortfall peaked to as high as 6,000 megawatt, A private TV channel reported.
Thus, the duration of electricity load shedding in the major cities like Lahore, parts of Karachi, Peshawar and others reached to over 12 hours. Online
