ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Monday the government had evolved a comprehensive strategy to address the problems of Balochistan, adding it (government) would extend every possible support to the provincial government for accelerated development.
Talking to Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi at the PM House, he said substantial funds had been provided to the provincial government through NFC Award for development of the province.The Prime Minister said that he would visit Balochistan in the near future to review the progress of development schemes launched in collaboration with the federal government and review the implementation status of Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan. He said he had already extended invitation for dialogue to all the nationalist leaders of Balochistan for political reconciliation and restoration ofpeace and harmony. He observed that political dialogue was the only way forward to sort out political differences and sustainability of the democratic process in the country.While reiterating the government's commitment to bring the under-developed areas at par with other developed ones, he said the policy of reconciliation is a central plank in the government's strategy because no economic development is possible without political stability.
