Islamabad : Pakistan values its cordial and friendly relations with Saudi Arabia, said President Asif Ali Zardari.
He stressed augmenting socio-economic, trade, defence ties between two brotherly countries, while talking Monday with visiting Vice Admiral Dakheel Allah Bin Ahmed Al Waqdani, Commander Royal Saudi Naval Forces. He was accompanied by Rear Admiral Ghasham Bin Manahi Al Qahtani, COS (Log & Supply). Manzoor Wattoo, Defence Production Ministe, Admiral Noman Bashir, Chief of Naval Staff, Lt Gen ® Syed Athar Ali, Secretary Defence were also present. Both sides discussed bilateral ties, defence cooperation.Zardari hailed contributions of Vice Admiral Dakheel in promoting and giving further impetus to existing relations between naval forces of two countries.
Vice Admiral Dakheel hoped existing close cooperation in defence and other areas between two countrieswould continue to grow to mutual benefit.
President later conferred Hilal-i-Pakistan award on Vice Admiral Dakheel in recognition of his endeavors for strengthening cooperation between Saudi Naval Forces & Pakistan Navy. PPI
