Peshawar : Four police men were injured when powerful blast occurred inside Gulbahar Police station on Monday.
Police said gas leakage has actually caused the explosion which resulted huge fire inside police station’s building.With huge explosions two rooms of police station caved in while fire fighters of Rescue 1122 after a long struggle succeeded to extinguish the fire. Initially it was believed that explosive stored in Maal Khana of police station was exploded with big bang however later D.I G Peshawar Liaqat Ali rejected the notion and said explosion was occurred due gas leakage inside police station.The police however did not allow media men to enter inside and visit the scene as soon after the blastthe main gate of police station was closed to block the entry of media.Four police men, whose names were not ascertained, were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital where their condition is stated to be stable.Gulbahar police station is situated at busy square of G.T road therefore people in large number gathered in front of the police post however they were asked to vacate the scene as explosions of small intensity were occurring continuously.
