ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party has gained some success to convince PML-Q and MQM to join coalition government however government has decided that JUI-F would not be asked to rejoin the cabinet, by rejecting their demands.
Well placed sources told Online that the top leadership of PPP after receiving the green signal from the MQM and PML( Q) to join the cabinet , has decided that the demands of JUI(F) would not be considered which they put before the PPP for rejoining the government .
The source revealed that the JUI (F) asked the government that Ministry of Religious Affairs should be given to it and Azam Swati may be re-inducted in the cabinet.
Top brass of PPP was reluctant on the question of Azam Swati as supporters of former minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi in the ranks and file of PPP opposed it harshly.
As the leadership of PML (Q) and MQM have agreed conditionally to join the cabinet and after their willingness, PPP has decided to not to talk further with JUI (F) in this regard.
It is very much accepted that during extension phase of federal cabinet, some 12 federal and state minister from PML (Q) would take oath in current week.
Formal Federal Minister Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali also confirmed on Sunday while talking to media that the PML (Q) would join the cabinet during ongoing week. However the quarters of the PML (Q) did not express any reaction on it.
When contacted former Federal Minister Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman, leader of JUI (F) said that government has not officially offered his party to join the government so far.
“If any proposal from the government would be delivered to JUI (F) , the party will take any decision after consultation within the party”, Maulana Atta added. Online
