People are united against terrorism: PM Gilani

Okara : Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has said that the entire nation was united to tackle the major challenges including energy crises, law & order situation and aftermath of flood, which the country was facing now days.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Cadet College Okara on Sunday. Federal Ministers Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, Firdous Ashiq Awan and Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali were also present on the occasion.
He said that drone attacks would have to stop to win the war against terrorism. Pakistan is desirous to keep good relations with all the countries especially with India. The purpose of filing reference of reopening Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s case in Supreme Court is rectifying the mistake of the history. “We hope that judiciary would make justice in the case”, he added.
Prime Minister said that the international comity should exert pressure on India to force her to prevent the series of atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
He was of the view that the government would complete its tenure and the elements, which are making speculations about the timeframe of departure of government, would be frustrated.
He said that the government believes in service to the nation and only quality education could eradicate the menace of terrorism. It is the firm posture of the government to make Pakistan prosper and strong. Government is making efforts day in and day out for the betterment of the common man. Opposition should also play its positive role to resolve the problems that government got in inheritance.
He asked the investors to invest in Pakistan with out any fear as the country has lot of opportunities for them in several sectors . Government would provide complete security to them as well as their investments.
“To give level playing to women as par with the men , specials initiatives are on the cards of government to offer them health and life insurance and other healthcare facilities under Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). All the federal ministers have been issued directives to restore the respect of party workers”, he added.
Prime Minister assured the farmers that Ministry of Defence would be consulted regarding giving land ownership to them. He said that the biggest problem of all is illiteracy and only education can lead the nation to the respectable berth in the community of nations.
He instructed officials of agriculture department to purchase the production of farmers forthwith so as their problems should be resolved. Online
