Pak women proving mettle: Tauqeer Fatima

Karachi  : Pakistani women are proving their mettle in every profession of life but it’s essential to provide them timely opportunities to have desired results, said Sindh Minister for Women Development Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto on Monday during a meeting of Care International Pakistan and Tehqeeq Foundation’s Project Steering Committee.
She appreciated the project saying that six-hour timing, health facilities and adequate wages will advance the project, whereas the project will be beneficial especially for rural women.The minister, on a request from A.H. Bilal of Care Int. Pakistan, assured to summon a meeting of 7 districts’ DCOs so that project could be accomplished.“The government is acting upon the policy of taking along all the political parties in the country,” the minister said and added that on the directives and guidelines from Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and President Asif Ali Zardari, serious steps were being taken to ensure women representation in policy making.Further, she said, department of women development had organized various programmes for women welfare which have had positive impacts on women’s lives.
