Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani called on President Asif Ali Zardari
at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Saturday and talked about the situation arising due
to the incident of NATO’s helicopters and fighter aircraft’s unprovoked
firing on two Pakistani border posts in Mohmand Agency that resulted in
the loss of 24 security forces officials.
President Zardari condemned the incident terming it as an attack on sovereignty and totally unacceptable.
Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, was also present during the meeting.
The Prime Minister informed that he has summoned the meeting of the
Defense Committee of the Cabinet at PM’s House today to discuss this
issue with the national leadership and to formulate Government’s
response in the aftermath of this incident. SANA
