LAHORE: The governing body of Lahore Press Club has strongly
condemned the threats by Muttahida Qaumi Movement against Bureau Chief,
Daily Ummat, Najam Al Hasan.
The governing body including
president, Lahore Press Club Sarmad Bashir and Secretary Azam Chaudhry
on Saturday has strongly condemned attack on freedom of expression by
MQM and demanded to take immediate actions against those who are
responsible.
They have expressed their grave concern over the
threats which were received by Journalist Najam Al Hasan from MQM. They
said that no party has right to interfere in duties and professional
affairs of the journalists.
The governing body also demanded that the MQM leadership should clear its stance over the issue.
