ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister late Benazir Bhutto had expressed
her apprehensions over the ability of election commission for
controlling the rigging in 2007 elections.
This was revealed by
Wiki Leaks that former US ambassador to Pakistan Anne W. Paterson sent
a secret letter to Washington on December 1, 2007,in which she
discussed about the meeting with Benazir Bhutto , which took place at
Bilawal House Islamabad in which BB showed mistrust on election
commission that it has not the capacity to prevent the rigging in
general polls .
The letter also disclosed that there was
understanding between then President Musharraf and Benazir on the
issues of fundamentalism and enlightened moderation but both leaders
had differences on the democracy and dictatorship. Benazir told
American Ambassador that Musharraf did not accept her several demands
