A non-UN-sanctioned US drone attack has killed at least four people in Pakistan's northwest tribal region of South Waziristan.
The US drone fired two missiles at a vehicle in Azam Warsak, 15 kilometers west of Wana, the main town of the South Waziristan region, AFP reported on Monday.
No more details of the violence have been reported yet.
The US has carried out numerous drone attacks on Pakistan's tribal areas since 2008, but there has been a significant surge in such attacks over the past few months.
Despite Washington's claim that the drone strikes target militants and their strongholds, victims of the attacks have reportedly been predominantly civilians.
The climbing civilian casualties caused by unauthorized US drone strikes, have strained relations between Islamabad and Washington, with the Pakistani government repeatedly objecting to the attacks. Press TV
