ISLAMABAD: The President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the session
of the National Assembly on 1st August Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the
Parliament House.
The President has summoned the National
Assembly Session in exercise of powers conferred by clause (1) of
Article 54 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Chief
whip of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Sheikh Aftab Ahmed had
submitted the requisition with the signatures of 93 members of party to
Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza for convening the National
Assembly session.
Prior to any decision by the speaker on the
requisition the president has summoned the session on the advice of
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
Meanwhile the session of the National Asembly would continue till the 12th of August. Online
