ISLAMABAD: A top retired government official who is allegedly being
victimized by high court’s officials illegally Sunday asked the Chief
Justice of Pakistan to take notice of unprecedented illegalities.
Addressing
a press conference here in the National Press Club former Secretary and
Member Board of Revenue in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Reayat Khan said that
Additional Registrar Peshawar High Court Rauf Khattak, who managed to
emerge as most powerful and rich person in Dera Ismail Khan, is
directly responsible for implicating him and his family in the fake
cases.
Khan, who served the government as provincial Secretary
in various departments, said he and his educated sons, one of them a
doctor and another a lawyer, were implicated in a case of attack on
houses of Khattak’s brothers.
But still illegal steps were
taken while implicating his family in fake cases, he added. “On January
12, 2010 case was entered in record register against unidentified
attackers but on January 26, 2010, I and my family were charged and FIR
in this connection was registered on January 30, 2010. But on February
1, 2010 they were declared as proclaimed offender which is illegal.” He
said that after charging someone for an offence at least 30 days are
required by law before announcing some one as proclaimed offender.
To
a question he said, that the Peshawar High Court’s additional
registrars Khattak and Sahibzada Khurshid Ahmed are politically
motivated who want deprive him of his property.
Khan said that
some property was transferred to him by his mother about 17 years ago
and the then Tehsildar of Karak Mohammad Ghulam is a witness to the
deal. “Ghulam Muhammad who is now working as Kanoon Guh with the KP
government was shown as dead in the documents to weaken my hold on the
property. And I have a written proof in this connection,” he alleged.
He
claimed that he wrote to the Chief Justice of Peshawar high court in
this connection but he take no notice of the situation, saying that he
also has written proof in this connection.
He said that last
year, attack was carried on houses of the registrar’s brothers Lal
Sharif, Abdul Hameed, Muhammad Hayat and SDO Sher Afzal, who is as he
said, facing cases of corruption in National Accountability Bureau. Online
