No let up for Karachiites; 14 more killed in fresh incidents of violence

The number of people killed in a fresh spate of violence in Karachi rose to 48 as another 14 people were killed in the economic hub of the country here on Friday and death toll in tree days has reached 68.

Two dead bodies were found dumped in Lyari River in Gulbahar. Two tortured bodies were recovered from Bakra Piri locality of Lyari. Earlier, unidentified gunmen killed Roshan Muhammad in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Muhammad Karyo, who incurred injuries in an attack in PIB Colony on Thursday, succumbed to his wounds. Muhammad Anwar, 25 and Shehryar, 40, were shot dead in Shireen Jinnah Colony.
A dead body stuffed in a gunny bag was recovered from Kharadar. One man was killed and another suffered injuries in a firing incident in Federal B. Area. In another incident, one man was gunned down in Hazara Goth in Gulistan-e-Johar.
One person was killed and eight others injured in the result of the firing of unidentified gunmen in Landhi-89 area of the city; meanwhile one dead packed in bag was recovered from Khamosh Colony.
One person was killed in bafar zone area of the city; meanwhile one person was killed in the result of the firing of unidentified assailants near Qatar Hospital.
Meanwhile patrolling of rangers’ and police in the affected areas have been increased and tension in violence hit areas is still present. SANA
