ISLAMABAD: Despite clear and definite recommendations and directives
of PAC (Public Accounts Committee0, action against 3 Army generals
involved in NLC scam and CDA’s member Finance has not yet been carried
out.
PAC had recommended forwarding the cases against three
generals, Lt. Gen (R) Khalid Munir Khan, Lt. Gen (R) Afzal Muzaffar,
and Maj. Gen (R) Khalid Zaheer Akhtar, involved in NLC (National
Logistics Cell) scam alongwith CDA’s member finance, Saeed-ur-Rehman to
NAB (National Accountability Bureau).
But, as it had been
learned, the Planning and development board had still not been able to
materialize the issue, despite a lapse of 11 days.
Meanwhile
the ministry of Defense has said that it had not received any official
directives from Planning commission and GHQ regarding any action
against the three Army generals involved in NLC, issue, but it has been
learnt through reliable sources that Planning Division had already
forwarded the recommendations of PAC to Cabinet Division.

contacted the chairperson of PAC’s implementation and monitoring
committee Yasmeen Rehman, she declared this serious lapse of ignoring
recommendations of PAC as contempt of Parliament.
She also
announced summons of implementation and monitoring g committee on 13th
and 14th July in order to review the implementation of PAC orders of
action against the three Army generals of NLC scam.
An explanation from relevant Planning and Development Division officials has also been summoned over the issue. Online
