Corrupt, incompetent govt unable to maintain petroleum prices: PTI

ISLAMABAD: Central Information Secretary Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Omer Sarfraz Cheema has said that the corrupt and inept PPP-led coalition government has no justification to maintain present petroleum prices while it has failed provide relief to the masses.

In a statement issued here on Sunday by the Central Media Cell the PTI information secretary has strongly condemned the govt for its complete failure to overcome the menace of power outage saying, “load-shedding was one of the major challenges for the incumbent government but despite lapse of more then three and half years’ it did nothing then lip-service to improve the situation.”
The situation is farther deteriorating as short fall is increasing by every passing day’ he added.
He stressed the need of extending benefit of the decreasing petroleum prices in the international market to the consumer of Pakistan. He also called for taking immediate steps to end the menace of load shading.
Million of dollars has been spent unnecessarily on Rental power stations. The main objective of rental power station was to receive kick backs from multi-national companies instead of keeping the interests of the common man of Pakistan, he alleged.
Omer Sarfraz Cheema also demanded immediate relief for the people in petroleum sector in accordance with the price dip in the international market. Online
