Shah Mehmood Qureshi terms PPP PML-Q alliance as based on hypocrisy not reconciliation

MULTAN : Former foreign minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has termed the proposed alliance between PPP and PML-Q as based on hypocrisy instead of reconciliation and advised the party leadership not to take any decision in hast.

While talking to media on Multan airport former foreign minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the person who was nominated as the main suspect by Benazir Bhutto in her e-mail to Mark Sehgal and the investigations is still underway in BB murder case but the party leadership has decided to appoint the same person as Deputy Prime Minister of the country.
Qureshi termed this development as a big contradiction and asked the party high ups to take any decision after consultation because the workers of PPP would not be happy over any such alliance with PML-Q.
The ex- foreign minister said that political circles are busy in talks for power sharing instead of addressing the real issues faced by the masses.
He said that present government claims that it carries on Benazir’s policy of political re-conciliation but this is not reconciliation instead it is hypocrisy.
Qureshi said that Mian Raza Rabbani has also shown his dismay over the proposed alliance between PPP and PML-Q and many MNAs, MPAs and a large number of party workers are against this coalition.
He added that if PML-Q really wants to make any alliance then instead of talking about Ministries and privileges they should support the government in passing the budget in parliament.SANA
