KARACHI : At least six persons were killed in the result of ongoing target killing incidents and two criminals were killed in the result of the firing of the rangers personnel during the search operation in Mehmood Abad area of the city.
On the other hand, 16 vehicles including buses, trucks and cars were burnt in various parts of the city.
On late night the rangers’ conducted the search operation in Mehmood Abad area to nab the criminals and during the search operation criminals opened fire on the ranger’s personnel and in the result of the ranger’s firing the two alleged criminals were killed.
Meanwhile the ranger’s held 16 suspects during the search, which was started after attacks on the Pakistan Navy buses.
In the incidents of target killing a man was killed in the result of the unknown gun men firing near the ICI Bridge; meanwhile a person named Asif was kidnapped from Naya Abad area and after taking him in Memon Society Chowk was killed by shooting.
Two youngsters were killed near the Bakra Hotel in Kharadar area of the city named Adnan and Wasim Abbas.
A rickshaw driver killed in the result of the firing of the unknown gunmen in Gulshane-e-Iqbal and a dead body was recovered from Ajmair area of the city.
MQM on Sunday observed black day throughout the Sindh province against the killing of its former MPA Liaquat Qureshi and in the results of the incidents of violence more than 16 vehicles were burnt down in different parts of the city.
During the violent incidents two persons were injured and rangers arrested two persons involved in violent incidents and handed over them in the police custody. SANA
