JI to arrange family festival in capital

Islamabad: The Jamat-e-Islami will arrange a family festival at Rose& Jasmine Garden on October 30 (Sunday). The aim of the festival is to provide healthy entertainment and promote cultural activities in the capital.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Mian Aslam said that people from all segments of the society would participate in the festival. He said that Jama’at Ameer Syed Munawar Hassan would also participate in thr festival and address the participants.
Mian Aslam said that different games and other healthy activities would also be arranged in the festival. He said that under this festival cricket tournaments would also be arranged at 10 different places in which 300 teams would participate.
He said that with the cooperation of private schools association and teachers association, 600 boys and 150 girls from private schools of the country would also participate and in this regard competitions are continued in district level.
He said that Qirat competitions would also be arranged and Qaris from outside the country would also participate in this competition.
All the programmes would be arranged separately for men and women and in this connection all the necessary arrangements have been completed while an advertisement campaign has been started, he added.
Mian Aslam said that inflation, law and order situation, load shedding and other issues have deprived the citizen of Capital from recreational activities.
He said that the issues have divided the society and reduced their interaction with each other therefore; this family festival is being arranged. He expressed his hope that this festival would bring a smile on the faces of depressed people of the city.
