Karachi: Chairperson PPP-SB Ghinwa Bhutto has declined President Asif
Ali Zardari’s invitation to attend burial of her mother in law late
Nusrat Bhutto at Ghari Khuda Bux.
Talking to a private TV
channel she said, “we cannot go inside the high walls they have erected
to prevent people from having their beloved leader’s last sight. This is
the home of her son, her dead body should be brought to Al-Murtaza,”
she said referring to her own residence here.
“Since they told
me that bringing dead body of my mother in law at my residence was not
possible, we would hold funeral prayer in absentia (Ghaibana),” she
said. “We demand last rituals of Begum Nusrat Bhutto at her son’s house
where people are really upset and saddened,” she added.
Being
mother of former Prime Minister Zulfiquar Ali Bhutto’s grandson and
slain Mir Murtaza Bhutto’s son ZAB Jr., Ghinwa claims political
inheritance of founder Chairman of the Pakistan People Party. Online
