Rawalpindi: The Director General of Military Operations gave a
comprehensive security briefing to National Assembly Standing Committees
on Defence and Defence Production regarding military operations at
General Headquarters (GHQ) here on Tuesday.
According to a press
release, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani
welcomed the parliamentarians to the GHQ. A formal brief by Director
General of Military Operations was followed by an interactive session of
questions and answers.
The focus remained on ongoing military
operations. General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani also shared various matters
related to defence budget. The members of Senate and National Assembly
Standing Committees on Defence and Defence Production thanked the Chief
of Army Staff on hosting a comprehensive briefing session and clarifying
