RAWALPINDI: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Khalid
Shameem Wynne hosted a reception to commemorate Defence Day of
Pakistan, at Joint Staff Headquarters on Tuesday evening. President
Asif Ali Zardari was the chief guest.
While addressing the
audience President Zardari paid rich tribute to the Armed Forces and
eulogized the sacrifices made both in the retrospection of 1965 war and
the ongoing operations. He said that officers and soldiers of valiant
Armed Forces have set unprecedented examples of heroism and resilience
in their fight against terrorism, with the unabated support of the
nation we will succeed in over coming all the challenges being faced by
the country
Distinguished among others who attended the
reception included, Federal Ministers, Parliamentarians, services
Chiefs, Ambassadors of various countries in Islamabad and other senior
