Water shortage hits Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Water supply to different parts of Rawalpindi is suspended for last several days while WASA is playing role of silent spectator.

Talking to this news agency here on Thursday the residents of Rawalpindi said that Water And Sanitation Agency (WASA) was supplying six million gallons of water to Rawalpindi from Khan Pur dam but the supply of water is suspended for last several days.
The residents said that they have complained to WASA several time about suspension of water supply to the area but to no avail. The residents said that the tanker mafia has become active and selling water on exorbitant rates.
The residents have demanded of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of the situation and ensure water supply to the area. Online
