ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous
Ashiq Awan on Thursday said the All Parties Conference (APC) will
defend the case of Pakistani nation on the issue of national security.
Talking
to media as she arrived at the Prime Minister House to attend the APC,
the Information Minister said the political leaders would indulge in
consultation over the crucial issues confronting the country.
Dr
Awan said whenever there was an issue of national importance, the
leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf
Raza Gilani took onboard all political leaders for dialogue.
She
said the APC was a significant initiative as the politicians
representing different parties would sit together to discuss important
issues.
She stressed the need for evolving a national strategy
to address regional challenges, and added that APC would prove as a
milestone in this regard. Online
