Dengue claims 5 more lives

LAHORE: The death toll from dengue virus in Lahore reached 107 after five more die of disease.

According to details, an on duty nurse, Asma, of General Hospital was shifted to Emergency Ward when her condition deteriorated where she succumbed to illness.
A constable of Lytton Road Police Station, Fiaz also died today at the General Hospital. The two others who died of dengue today included 70-year-old Gulzar Bibi and 26-year-old Arshad.
The death toll from dengue virus in Punjab has climbed to 116 while in Lahore alone 107 people have lost their life to dengue. The number of dengue patients in the province has reached 10,054 out of which more than 90,000 belong to Lahore.
Meanwhile, the number of dengue patients is increasing in Faisalabad and 38 new cases were reported in different hospitals of the city taking the number of dengue patients to 660. Online
