ISLAMABAD: Following special directives of PM, Yousaf Raza Gilani, the verification of fake degrees has formally begun.
Sources
have informed ONLINE that degrees of 1100 federal officials have been
procured by Punjab,
Lahore and Karachi University for verification.
Sources have also informed that Punjab University had received 718
degrees for verification, which has been immediately started by a
specially formed cell; while Karachi University had received more than
400 degrees for verification.
When contacted specially by
Online, VC Punjab University, Dr. Mujahid Kamran informed that the
verification process has been started, which would be sent back to
relevant departments.
Karachi University has also assured that
all degrees received for verifications would be completed by next week,
while a daily of 10-15 degrees were being received. Online
