Govt to release uplift funds for PML-Q parliamentarians

ISLAMABAD: In order to facilitate and attract the alliances, the federal government has decided to release developmental funds worth millions of rupees to the members of parliament and provincial assemblies of Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-i-Azam (PML-Q).

Reliable sources told Online that the federal government would release Rs. 50 million for each member of National Assembly and Senate while Rs. 30 million for each provincial legislators of PML-Q. Such actions would be taken to increase the vote bank of the party, they added.
Sources further stated that PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Senior Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi in their last meeting with Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Gilani requested him to release developmental funds in order to save the decreasing rate of vote bank. On which the PM directed the finance ministry to release funds in this regard. Sources further stated that the party would release funds only for those constituencies where candidates have strong vote bank and they have chances of victories.
