No to be allowed to disturb peace of Karachi: Rehman Malik

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that no body would be allowed to create havoc in Karachi; adding that the government is going to take extra-ordinary measures to curb targeted killings.

Talking to media after a meeting on Karachi situation Malik said that the MQM leader Altaf Hussain’s reservations are genuine and legitimate but “I will not comment over his statement.”
He claimed that since Tuesday no target killing has taken place, adding that the bodies of four to five days have been recovered from various areas, which were killed earlier and their dead bodies were thrown in different areas.
He said that no operation has been launched in Karachi except targeted action at various places.
He said that no body would be allowed to create havoc that the children’s would not go to schools, the traders would be disturbed and there is no traffic on roads.
He said that in the light of the directions of President and Prime Minister we would restore the peace of Karachi at any cost.
He said that in meetings of PPP, ANP and MQM we were agreed to take extra-ordinary measures to curb the target killings, adding that it is demanded by Altaf Bhai and I think his demand is legitimate.
He said that the media and all political parties should help the government for the restoration of peace in the city. SANA
