Lahore High Court election tribunal on Thursday disqualified the member Punjab assembly pir walayat shah khagga after finding his bachelor degree fake.
Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed heading the election tribunal heard the
complaint of opponent candidate Nazar Fatyana against the fake degree
of BA.
Pir Walayat Shah Khaggar had submitted the BA degree of Azad Kashmir
University, which after verification was found fake; meanwhile Walayat
Shah Khagga was elected as member Punjab Assembly from 220 constituency
of Sahiwal district.
The court has asked the Election Commission of Pakistan to hold fresh election in the constituency with 60 days. SANA
