Target killings claim 12 lives in Karachi

KARACHI: As many as 12 persons including 2 brothers and workers of MQM and police men have been killed and 4 injured in various incidents of target killings Saturday.

One Omair, 14 was critically injured being caught in armed clash between two groups in Landhi Police and he succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital. A heavy contingent of police and rangers have been called in the area to control the situation.
One Zahid is reported to have been killed in firing by some unknown persons in the area of Iqbal market police. Police told he was worker of MQM.
2 persons died when some unknown persons opened fire on a van on Pak Colony Bismullah bus stop. Both the victims were real brothers and were transporters.
One Gul Shah died during the firing by some unidentified persons in Landhi police area.
Bodies of two persons who were tortured to death were found near Malir stream Bund. Some unknown persons shot dead Abdul Rahim head constable of Drakhshan police station. He was guard of SSP Farhat Junejo. Some unknown persons threw away dead body of a kidnapped youth from moving train near Dhobi Ghat Garden Medical centre and escaped.
One car rider Ghulam Rabbani was killed when his car was fired upon near Safora Goth in Gulistan Jauhar.
One Asif 30 was killed near Godhra medical centre when he was caught in the intense firing between two groups.
Police and law enforcement agencies have not succeeded in arresting any one involved in target killings incidents. Online
