Independence of judiciary not to be compromise: CJ Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry has said that the independence of Judiciary would be maintained at every cost. He said that the judges of the lower and superior courts should announce verdicts according to the law and constitution with considering and mighty or poor.

This he said while addressing the National Judicial Policy Committee meeting here in Islamabad on Saturday.
Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry said that the Judiciary ordered the judgment on the basis of law and the verdict of the Courts from lower courts to superior courts should reflect the justice.
He said that there are many complaints against the corruption in lower courts and in some districts of Punjab there are complaints against the employees of the lower courts and we will tray our best to remove these complaints.
All Chief Justices of five High Courts including Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chudhry, Justice Musheer Alam Khan, Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan, Justice Qazi Mohammad Faiz Isa, Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman, Chief Justice Federal Shariat Court Agha Rafiq Ahmed all registrars of High Courts were also present in the meeting of National Judicial Policy committee.
The National Judicial Policy committee also discussed the launching of new website of Judicial system and reforms in the jails. The committee also discussed the issues to solve the cases immediately and remove corruption from Judiciary. SANA
