Prime
Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said here on Wednesday the government
would build more Sweet Homes all over the country to look after the
orphans and help them to become respectable citizens. “I have issued
directives for awarding scholarships to talented and deserving students
of Balochistan and prevent the deprived children from falling into
the wrong hands,” he said while addressing the annual ceremony of Sweet
homes for orphanage organized by the Pakistan Baitul Maal at Governor
House on Wednesday.
Chief
Minister of Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani and Governor of
Balochsitan Nawab Zulfiar Ali Magsi were also present on the occasion.
The Prime Minister said that Sweet Homes will be built all over the country in order to promote welfare of deserving and helpless children.
He also announced a donation of Rs 07 million for maintenance of the orphans at Sweet Homes in Balochistan.
He directed the officials of Pakistan Baitul Maal to fully facilitate the orphans who were staying at Sweet Homes.
He said the philanthropists should extend help to the authorities in their efforts to promote welfare of the deserving children.
Managing Director of Baitul Maal Zamurd Khan said in his speech that PBM was looking after over 200 children in Sweet Homes in the province of Balochistan.
He said the PBM had prepared a plan to build “Pakistan Sweet Homes” in every district of the country.
He said registration of orphans for the newly established Sweet Home in Zhob is in progress and it would soon sart functioning .
He said the orphans were being provided best facilities in Balochistan,including those in the education and the health sectors. APP
