LAHORE: Central Ameer, Jamiat Ulema Islam Maulana Fazl ur Rehman has
said that the rulers have badly failed to stop drone strikes and its
major reason is the continuity of the policies of former president
Pervez Musharraf.
He said this in a telephonic conversation
with party leaders including Maulana Qari Fiaz ur Rehman Alvi, Maulana
Muhammad Yousaf, Maulana Muhammad Amjad Khan, Mufti Ibrar Ahmad and
Abdul Razzaq Lakho.
The Ameer JUI-F said that how long the
international community will remain silent by seeing bloodshed of
innocents. He condemned the yesterday’s drone attacks and declared it
as strike on the sovereignty and security of the country.
While
criticizing over the PPP-led coalition government, Maulana Fazl said
that government is claiming for the supremacy of Parliament which is
only theory and nothing has been done so far in practice.
Earlier,
the rulers showed their consensus and unanimously passed a resolution
to revise foreign policy but our rulers are not paying attention for it
implementation, he said. There is a dire need to mould our policies by
pursuing national interest, therefore, government and rulers should
