Strike call by MQM creates panic in Karachi , people rush towards markets to collect ration

Karachi: The rumors of strike call from MQM has pushed Karachi into grip of panic as people rushed out to purchase edible items in large quantity, whereas long queues of vehicles were seen at petrol pumps.

The petrol pumps and CNG stations were closed down due to fright of violence , while on the other hand wave of fear prevailed among the traders of different markets and the people were also confused due to chaos created by strike call.
The transporters of Karachi have announced to shut down public transport service in the city as the new series of firing on buses has been started by miscreants elements. The President of Transport Ittahad , Irshad Bukhari told the journalists that the drivers as well as conductors of public transport are being killed .Culprits are openly carrying out firing on the buses and there is no one in the city which could save the transporters.
Due to violence threat, heavy contingent of police was deployed in Karachi.
Most of the industrial units in Site Area stopped working due to fresh upsurge of targeted killing. Hundreds of workers and employees could not reach their offices and work stations due to incidents of firing, whereas the many of them were strangled in the factories. Online
