Karachi violence claim another 20 lives

Violence in Karachi continued on third consecutive day as 20 more lives were erased on Thursday, which took the death toll to 60 during past three days.

President Asif Ali Zardari has taken notice of the situation and has directed the concerned authorities to present report in this regard.
In Banaras Bridge at least 14 persons were killed and 20 others injured in the result of the firing of unknown miscreants on two mini buses.
Meanwhile 16 persons were killed in Orangi Town area of the city in the result of different incidents of target killings.
According to the police one person was shot dead in Baldia Town area of the city by unidentified persons.
One person was killed in the result of the firing of unidentified persons near Garden area of the city; meanwhile two persons lost their lives in the limits of Nabi Bukhsh Police Station area of Garden.
According to the police three persons including a taxi driver were killed in the result of the firing of unidentified gunmen in Zoo and Makki Masjid areas of the city.
One person was killed in the result of the firing of unidentified gunmen in Qasba Mor area of Orangi Town.
Two persons were killed in the Meteorological department area of the city; meanwhile other incidents of firing were observed in Gushane-e-Iqbla Mari Pur, Orangi Town, Nepier, Baghdadi, Cite, Shahra-e-Noor Jahan, and Sarjani area of the city due to the firing incidents the residents are gripped in fear.
More than 58 persons were injured in the result of the firing incidents during the last three days.
The police said that most of the incidents of target killing were occurred in the Orangi Town area of the city. SANA
