ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N will have to change its mind set
for the formation if it really wants to form a gran opposition
alliance, said a JUI-F statement issued Sunday.
The statement
said all the opposition parties can jointly put the government on the
right track but for that PML-N will have to give up its solo flight and
accept other parties as a reality.
Referring to the PML-N’s
recent refusal to accept JUI-F Senator Ghafoor Haideri as Opposition
Leader in the Upper House, the statement said, that showed PML-N’s
dictatorial mind set and exposed its claims to democracy.
“Alliance
with PML-N is possible only when it gives up its solo flight and walks
along with other parties,” the statement further said. “Nawaz Sharif’s
unwise friends are giving him wrong suggestions and pushing him to a
blind alley,” it said adding this would lead the PML-N to political
wilderness. Nawaz Sharif and his party should know that other parties
have also their vote bank and people’s mandate and imposing his
conditions on other parties would prove the greatest hurdle in the
formation of the grand opposition alliance, it said.
It is
beyond understanding why Nawaz Sharif led party wants its own decisions
on the national issues imposed on other parties, the statement said. A
grand alliance is possible only when the PML-N adopts serious and
sincere political attitude, it concluded. Online
