ISLAMABAD: Scattered rains with dust-thunderstorms are expected at
Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad,
Multan, D.I.Khan, Hazara , Kohat, Peshawar and Malakand divisions
during next 24 hours.
Maximum temperature in Islamabad and
Lahore remained 34-36°C, in other provincial Capitals including
Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta the maximum temperature remained 34-36,
38-40 and 37-39°C respectively.
Widespread Monsoon rains
occurred on Saturday night and Sunday morning over upper and most
central parts of Punjab including Rawalpindi division, Attock,
Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Jhang, Mianwali,
Sargodha and Mandi Bahauddin.
Heavy rainfall in Lahore caused
water blockade on roads due to inferior sanitary conditions, at few
localities including Lakshmi Chowk, Anarkali and Muslim Town the
blocked water entered into houses.
On the other hand tin made
roofs fled away due to hard strome. Judo Championship in Lahore also
postponed as the tin made roof of the hall where it was organized
flawed away. Such thunder and lightening shower caused at least five
people dead in different parts of Punjab.
Heavy downpours for
three consecutive hours in Faisalabad with hurricane has rooted out the
trees, electricity polls, roofs and walls of the houses and shops.. At
least 17 people got injured however two dead because of heavy storms
alongside Faisalabad areas. Worst electricity breakdown also happened
due to fall of trees on electricity wires and collapse of electricity
polls.
Cloudy weather and cold blows in Multan city and
adjourning areas breached the humidity and hot spell in weather, the
citizens observed satisfied because of sudden change in hot weather.
Moreover,
the water level at Chenab river near Gujrat stood up that also cause
increase in land erosion. Monsoon currents of moderate to heavy
intensity penetrated in different parts of Khyber PukhtoonKhwa
