Justice Sheikh Ahmad Farooq pays surprise visit to Faisalabad Courts

LAHORE: Justice Sheikh Ahmad Farooq of Lahore High Court who is also Inspection Judge of Faisalabad Courts, paid a surprise visit to district courts Faisalabad here on Sunday and checked the attendance of all judges and subordinate staff.

He inquired about their work and also issued necessary instructions in this regard. Later, Judge called for proposals from District Bar Association and its office-bearers for resolution of their problems. He also met with all judicial officers and directed them to decide the cases on merit as per law without any pressure, fear and greed.
He further said that judges should take decisions as per law instead of keeping in view the personalities. He said that cases of junior and senior lawyers should be disposed off as per law. He directed the judicial officers to limit their private activities after judicial work and should remain away from such private meetings which are against their status.
Justice Ahmad Farooq directed all judicial officers to keep a vigilant eye on subordinate staff and in case of any complaint, take strict action against them. He warned that if any judicial officer is found negligent in this regard, strict action would be taken against him and he would be held responsibility of the corruption and irregularities committed by the subordinate staff.
He directed that judges should perform their duties with honesty, hardworking and professional expertise and pay special attention to quality of judgments. He directed Sessions Judge and Senior Civil Judge to hold meetings with all judges after 15 days and exchange views on legal matters, go through the decisions of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and High Courts, be aware of latest legal information so that their performance could be improved.
