Minister
of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar on Tuesday said the
confidence building measures by Pakistan and India were making headway
and it would take time in complete return to normalcy between the two
countries. Talking to newsmen here at Foreign Service Academy, after
addressing the graduation ceremony for newly trained Foreign Office
officers, Hina Rabbani Khar said, “relations with India are
improving.”She hoped that her Indian tour would be fruitful in
promoting bilateral relations and improving confidence building
measures.
Commenting to a statement of Indian
Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh regarding Kashmir, she said that
Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani had already clarified Pakistan’s stance
on the Kashmir issue.
Hina Rabbani Khar said, “We do not believe in reactionary diplomacy and will reply at the right time.”
She said Pakistan- Afghanistan relations had also been improved significantly with direct interaction between the two countries at different levels. APP
