Dialogues succeeded between Punjab government and protestors in Mianwali in result of declaration of Mianwali as load shedding free zone.
Mianwali Rights Movement announced to call off its protest while
government of Punjab would not take any action against the protestors
and all the cases registered against protesters would be withdrawn.
Dialogues were held between the Provincial Minister for Zakat &
Ushr Punjab Nadeem Kamran and the leaders of Mianwali Rights Movement
at canal rest house Mianwali.
Provincial Minister Nadeem Kamran while briefing the media persons
said that no action would be taken against the protestors, adding that
peaceful protest is the right of people.
He said that the provincial government would discuss this issue with
the federal government, adding that action against DPO and DCO would be
taken on return of the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.
He said that formula of transfers of DPO and DCO would be decided in
a meeting going to be held today (Wednesday) in Lahore, which would be
chaired by Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa, Senior Advisor to Chief Minister
Punjab.
He said that while ensuring a judicial enquiry against the culprits
of this incident the leaders of Mianwali Rights Movement called off the
call of long march scheduled to be held on 20th July, meanwhile the
leaders of Mianwali Rights Movement said that the movement would be
again started if action would be taken against any protester. SANA
