KARACHI: Two candidates belonging to Muslim Conference (MC) withdrew
o Sunday against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidates contesting
elections of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on
constituencies in Karachi, a private TV channel reported on Sunday.
The candidates, Abdul Rasheed Dar and Hameed Abbasi announced their decision at a press conference in Karachi here.
They
said that President MC, Sardar Ateeq Ahmed has decided to back MQM in
the polls. MQM has boycotted the polls after government’s decisions to
adjourn the votes in Karachi. Online
